LLYRICAL ADVENTURES - MARKETING PLAN

A comprehensive and proactive marketing plan is under development that will ensure the author's full involvement in the marketing process. A preliminary marketing plan is outlined below:

WEB

--Positions series

--Describes plots for books 1, 2 and 3

--Provide a bio on the author

--Offer an on-line store to purchase the books and or collateral

--Provide a press kit for publishers and media

--Utilize web services for marketing (i.e. Amazon.com “Search Inside” services and Google’s program for pblishers

BOOKSELLERS

--Reach out to independent bookstores in locations identified in the book or cities where the author resides including: Frankfort Bookstore in Frankfort, MI; Horizon Bookstore in Traverse City, MI; Back Creek Books in Annapolis and the Bookshelf in Tallahassee to schedule readings and signings

--Approach West Marine for inclusion in nautical books section of their catalogue

--Attend American Booksellers Association convention, BookExpo

PERSONAL APPEARANCES

--Secure booths at various sailboat shows such as

--Strictly Sail: 2006 locations: Philadelphia; Chicago; Miami and Oakland

--Annapolis Boat Show

--Bay Bridge Boat Show

--Participate, as needed, in interviews

MEDIA

--Share press releases with “hometown” media in Philadelphia, Annapolis, Traverse City, MI and Tallahassee, FL to share story on series and author

--Share press release with Island Packet owners associations and publications and other sailing associations’ publications both print and web

--Advertise in Sail; Blue Water Sailing; and Cruising World
